ZeroWater® Technology
Developed Over Fifteen Years Ago to Solve One Family’s Desire for Great Water

The ZeroWater® technology was first developed to solve a mother’s fatigue from dragging gallons of bottled water jugs home from the grocery store. A father and son put their respective manufacturing and chemistry backgrounds to use to develop an in-home water filtration solution to meet the mother’s approval.

The means and method of the technology development were as unconventional as the water filter they would ultimately create. Development discussions primarily took place in the family study and the local university library while designs were tested in the kitchen and the back porch using nearby lake water. Filtered water from each design was taken to the university lab for testing. Through a great deal of trial and error, a design construct was finally chosen that combined the right sophisticated filtration mediums, in the right proportions, in the right sequence, with the right flow to ensure maximum filtration and full use of the superior filter materials.

Review

While switching to ZeroWater Pitcher, you can take the challenge to test the water yourself between your bottled water and tap water simply by inserting a TDS meter which stands for “Total Dissolved Solids” represents the amount of dissolved substances in parts per million in your water. You can read meter for tap water average between 075 and 300. Conventionally filtered water measures between 030 and 500, and bottled water measures between 000 and 350. And with ZeroWater you can be sure you’ll get 100%  pure tasting water as Holy water. The ZeroWater pitcher not only improves the taste of your tap water, it also helps to improve the environment by reducing your use of plastic water bottles. The pitcher is a pleasant color blue plastic and allows you to save space in your refrigerator door. Another smart idea is to take TDS meter to restaurants and purify it by inserting it to the glass of water and drink it. You don’t have to purchase TDS meter separately as it comes with Zero Water Pitcher and one filter in every purchase.  ZeroWater pitchers are priced at $39.99 with replacement filters costing about $13.25 each. This meter will let you know when to replace the filter for example, replace the filter if your meter shows “006″. Send your old filter to mail it back to be recycled through ZeroWater’s filter recycling program and you will be e-mailed a $5.00 coupon for a future purchase of ZeroWater® filters to offset your shipping costs.

I didn’t know they were the ONLY filtered water that meets FDA definition for purified bottled water.
    Thanks for the info!

I would take this camping withus…buying water is expensive and not so ecological. I have wanted and asked for this as a gift for YEARS. I have been chronically ill for over 8 years and most doctors will say one of the biggest things we can do to stay healthy is to drink CLEAN water. Yeah…they say our cities monitor this…but there is just too many chemicals and “bugs” that can still get through their process of cleaning it out. I would love to keep a cold, clear, fresh and SAFER pitcher of water in our fridge for all of us to grab!

This sounds really nice. I like that you can send the filters back for recycling. It is also nice that they give you a way to tell when the filter needs to be replaced rather than just giving you a set time like others do.

The review was very interesting. We’ve used a filter pitcher for some time. Changing out to new filters are hit and miss and there is no real way to know how effective it is or when it should be changed out. Its great that they have a promotion to recycle their filters.
