- The pre-ionizer charges particles as they enter the air washer. These small charged particles, down to 1.5 microns, form larger dust clusters that cling to the humidifier discs and are removed as the discs turn through the water. This highly efficient process results in effective washing and humidification in rooms up to 600 sq ft (55m²)
- Special humidifier discs turn through the water, self-rinsing and cleaning the discs of impurities like a fresh rain cleans outdoor air – naturally (ideal for allergy sufferers)
- Place a piece of cotton sprinkled with a fragrance or essential oil in the purple fragrance container to humidify and scent the air at the same time

Review
The Air-O-Swiss 2055 Air Washer is a special Humidifier that simultaneously cleans and humidifies the air without the use of ordinary wick filters or expensive filters. Inside the air washer, special humidifier discs rotate through a water bath. You don’t have to replace the discs. The night time mode operates very quietly and your family can sleep well without any disturbances. You can add a fragrance or essential oil if you prefer. Airborne particles and allergens as small as 0.5 microns – such as dust, pollen and household odors – are removed from the air naturally, safely, and quietly. A pre-ionizer charges the air with negative ions, causing the cleaning discs to attract particles more easily, like a magnet. This method of humidification is the most natural and healthiest way to add pure moisture to the air, without leaving any white dust or residue from mineral deposits. The Air-O-Swiss 2055 Air Washer is also equipped with a special anti-bacterial protection system (the patented Ionic Silver Stick), which guarantees that the water inside the air washer will be kept free from harmful bacteria and viruses. Two fan speeds allow you to run the air washer at night with minimal noise.

I’d also love to have the AOS 7142 Digital Warm & Cool Mist Ultrasonic because of the sleep mode automatic humidifier which sets the optimum nighttime humidity automatically. Brilliant!
