About Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil

Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil is one of the first virgin coconut oils to be exported to the United States from the Philippines. Brian Shilhavy (founder of Tropical Traditions) discovered the health benefits of coconut oil after moving to live in the Philippines with his wife, Marianita. He believes that coconut oil made by traditional methods are superior to the modern coconut oils found in stores. Tropical Traditions offers 3 types of coconut oil:

1. Gold Label Certifed Organic Coconut Oil

2. Tropical Traditions Green Label Organic Coconut Oil

3. Tropical Traditions Expeller-pressed Coconut Oil

How is This Oil Used?

Virgin Coconut Oil is a food, and is one of the best cooking oils you can use. It has been a staple cooking oil for thousands of years in tropical climates. As a cooking oil, its chemical structure is kept in tact and therefore is resistant to mutations of fatty acid chains even when used in higher cooking temperatures, unlike most vegetable oils. Research shows that the medium chain fatty acids found in coconut oil boosts the body’s metabolism, raises body temperatures, and helps provide greater energy which can lead to weight loss. For hundreds of tasty recipes from people who use coconut oil, visit FreeCoconutRecipes.com.

Virgin Coconut oil is rich in lauric acid, a nutrient that supports the body’s immune system. Lauric acid is also found in human mother’s milk.  Dr. Mary Enig suggests the average adult include about 3.5 tablespoons of coconut oil per day in their diet to take in an equivalent amount of lauric acid that a nursing infant would receive from breast milk. What do I think about Gold Label Certifed Organic Coconut Oil

Pure coconut oils are used in many Asian Countries and become very beneficial to our health.  We are very fortunate enough to have this oil available in US. I love the company makes pure oil without chemicals and preservatives by doing hand made processing from the fresh oconut meat that can be shredded by a wet mill and then cold-pressed using the water from inside the coconut. The milk is then allowed to sit for about 1/2 day to allow the oil to separate. The oil is then filtered and bottled. This coconut had very rich in flavor.  Before shower, apply oil all your hair and take shampoo after 15 minutes to get your hair full of nourishment and minimize hair fall. I love to apply it on my dry skin and feel my skin look supplier and healthier. To give great aroma in the kitchen, fry fish with coconut oil and enjoy the flavor. Use it to replace the ordinary oil when you cook any meals for your family or add two tablespoon of oil on the hot pot meals to improve your health.

In this video, you can see the making of coconut oil is a long process by hand made processing.  The people living in tropical lands are working so hard to make pure organic tropical coconut oil for us. We should thank them for making pure coconut oil.
