Our Company

http://www.souplantation.com/images/pics_our_company.jpgThe very first Souplantation brought delicious, healthy dining to San Diego in March 1978. Industry experts credit us as being the first casual eatery brand to serve fresh, wholesome menu options.

In 1983, Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp. was founded by Michael Mack through the acquisition of the first two Souplantation restaurants. As we continued to grow, we began to pursue growth beyond our core Southern California markets. In order to enhance our brand and reflect our dedication to fresh, wholesome ingredients, we adopted the name Sweet Tomatoes for new restaurants outside Southern California.

With 110 company-owned restaurants in 15 states, 265 million guests since 1978 have helped us to be #1 in fresh produce and salads, made-from-scratch soups, hot-tossed pastas, freshly baked breads and muffins, fresh fruit, frozen yogurt, and more.

We pride ourselves on offering an all-you-care-to-eat dining experience where each of our guests can create a meal tailored to their needs. Of course, you can count on fresh, high-quality ingredients and daily made-from-scratch menu items.

Review

We are living in Irving, Texas. There are so many restaurants and hard for us to find out healthy restaurants in our weekends. On Oct 25th 209, we headed to Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant. It took for us to reach there within 5 minutes. We feel so lucky that this restaurant is not far away from our home.

We are surprised to see the wide range of salads, some salads mixed with their secret dressing and the other, we can mix with fat free dressing. We thought that this restaurant is only for salads and soups. We were very happy to find out deserts that can have different toppings and in the bakery section, muffins and breads keep covered by cloth napkins to keep them warm, moist and fresh. Great to eat them in this season.  I don’t remember howmany soups are there. Variety of less than 10 different healthy soups makes a perfect combination with salad. I enjoy to create own salad there but not with regular dressing. Each salad is mixed with different dressing. I made up my mind to try the combination of salads with different dressings that are mixed by them.

To give delicious touch with sweet, sour, pungent and hot taste, I added some legumes, peas, spinach, jalapeno and little pasta with little Italian dressing on top. I finished it in that whole plate twist it in a healthy salad meal with cheesy corn soup. My stomach is already full and don’t feel like eating bread and deserts. I forced myself to try them.

IMGP5846The above picture, the salads look beautiful and colorful with mild dressing, crumbled blue cheese, cheese and bread croutons. These salad goes great with the baked potato and sour cream. My husband took some from that plate. I love to visit again and so I signed up their newsletter to get coupons in my inbox. I was surprised to see the awesome coupon for Halloween, buy one get one free and kids eat free when they come there by wearing the costumes only on Firday and Saturday.
