Rafflecopter Giveaway: Anjum’s Eat Right for Your Body Type: The Super-Healthy Diet Inspired by Ayurveda ~ 2 Winners!

Anjum’s Eat Right for Your Body Type: The Super-Healthy Diet Inspired by Ayurveda , by Anjum Anand, reveals Ayurveda means “science” or “knowledge of life”. It is not easy way to follow Ayurveda because this 5,000-year-old Indian system of medicine is the oldest herbal medicine on earth. Anjum Anand reveals how to reduce weight depending on your body type and lead a healthy balanced life without stress, less diet and exercise. There is a chart in Page 10 & 11 to discover whether you are Vatta (thin), Pitta (medium), or Kapha (larger). In Ayurveda, the human body is made up of five elements: ether, air, fire, water and earth. These are grouped into three doshas, or body types. We’re born with varying proportions of all three doshas, but one or two will dominate, and the book will help you find yours.
Healthy eating involves plenty of fresh fruit and veg, but not too many calories. According to Ayurveda, if your body becomes unbalanced, the digestive system won’t absorb nutrients. As this undigested food sits in the gut, it produces ‘toxins’, or ama. Ama then overflows into the rest of the body and clogs ‘channels’, causing weight gain and hormonal imbalances.
She provides 75 illustrated recipes with dietary advice and menu plans. All of the recipes sound extremely healthy, and simple and tasty. Each recipe can be adapted for your body type. You can also find Western and Eastern recipes with no alcohol, pork, beef and lamb.
It explores the origins of Ayurveda and its role in weight-loss and detox. There are recipes for breakfast, soups, salads, fish, chicken, vegetarian dishes, grains, and desserts. You can find Recipe: Chicken and Cooling Herb Curry in my recipe post.
