The Whistleblower is a corporate thriller and inspired by true story of Nebraska cop Kathryn Bolkovac who takes a job as a U.N. peacekeeper in Bosnia. She is shocked to see the local brothels participating in the international sex-slave trade. Teenages who want to start better life are imprisoned in a dank bar in the Balkans, tortured and raped by paying customers. Kathryn is not a super cop and she works hard to protect them. It is a serious crime that she fights for justice.

    I haven’t seen it yet, but it sounds like a great movie, I love movies like this where woman stand up for what they Believe in and it about something that really happened makes it even better, Good for her!

    I’d love to see this movie. I had never heard of it until I read your review. I am well aware of the atrocities that took place within the UN and the coruption that is still there. I just never knew one woman exposed it all. This will definately go in my cue, I have to check and see if Netfix offers it. Thanks for the review.

    Fantastic movie! Rachel Weisz is my favorite actress and this was such a raw and emotional film.
