Movie Review: Crazy, Stupid, Love ~ Holiday Guide 2011

Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling lead an all-star cast in Crazy, Stupid, Love. Forty something straight-laced Cal Weaver (Carell) is living the dream—good job, nice house, great kids and marriage to his high school sweetheart, Emily (Julianne Moore). So when Cal learns that his wife has cheated on him and wants a divorce, his “perfect” life quickly unravels. Cal, who hasn’t dated in decades, stands out as the epitome of un-smooth so handsome player Jacob Palmer (Gosling) takes him on as wingman and protégé, opening Cal’s eyes to the many options before him: flirty women, manly drinks and a sense of style. Despite Cal’s makeover and his many new conquests, the one thing that can’t be made over is his heart, which seems to keep leading Cal back to where he began. Brimming with inspired performances, critics are calling this gem of a romantic comedy “a movie that understands love” (Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly).

Crazy, Stupid, Love” is a blend of comedy, emotion and confusion. Steve had bad hair cut and he is  very  simple man. His wife  wants a divorce and cheated on him with her co-worker, Kevin. Steve was not happy and so he jumped on the moving car. We  know he loves his wife so much. I don’t know why she still wants a divorce after  this incident. She must be crazy, right?  It’s funny to see their son, Robbie fell  in love with his baby sitter, Jessica who is taller than him. Will Cal and Emily’s marriage  broke? This movie has some complication and takes time to understand. You maybe  wondering what will Steve do if she cheats on  him.  Just watch  it and  you ‘ll laugh :)

Love story isn’t my type of movie which I usually spend time during weekends. After a long period of working I think that we need sometimes to pamper ourselves with things that make us happy and truly satisfied our wants. Watching movie is the best bonding which I think ideal for almost all individual for they can have it watched where ever they wanted. It’s can also be educational but you just need to be aware and see if it is rated with parental guidance if you have your kids watching with you.:)

As much as I loved the movie, I couldn’t help but get annoyed every time the boy came around. Other than that, this movie was fantastic. It was nice to see the story play out differently when compared to other romantic comedy movies. I used my Blockbuster Movie Pass to rent this because it was suggested so many times. One of the best advantages to having it is being able to rent pretty much any movie I want like Crazy, Stupid, Love. Plus, I can stream many movies to my TV or computer. Since I’ve been using the Pass from DISH where I work, I’ve seen so many good movies like Crazy, Stupid, Love. It’s great how convenient it is being able to choose from so many movies. I would definitely recommend watching Crazy, Stupid, Love!
