Our Core Beliefs
We believe in making effective products from fresh, organic* fruit and vegetables, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics.
We invent our own products and fragrances. We make them fresh by hand
using little or no preservative or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients, and tell you when they were made.
We believe in buying ingredients only from companies that do not commission tests on animals and in testing our products on humans.
We believe in happy people making happy soap, putting our faces on our products and making our mums proud.
We believe in long candlelit baths, sharing showers, massage, filling the world with perfume and in the right to make mistakes, lose everything and start again.
We believe our products are good value, that we should make a profit and that the customer is always right.
* We also believe words like fresh and organic have honest meaning beyond marketing.

Of all the LUSH inventions we get the most questions about our henna. More than anything people want to know if we’re crazy, sadists, or both. Yes, we do want you to put this caca on your head and sit there for a few hours but you won’t find natural, synthetic-free hair colour like this anywhere else. Transform your locks with our henna and cocoa butter blocks to finish with stunning color and glorious conditioning. Try it, you’ll see.
It is perfectly possible to have beautifully colored hair without covering your hair with chemicals which then make their way into your body and into the environment, completely unnecessarily.

Review:

Using Henna hair dye, it’s great conditioner for hair. It’ll not only cover the grey hair but also give soft, shiny and smooth hair after you rinse it with shampoo. They are 100% natural, lovely, safe ingredients so you can use them on your pretty heads as often as you like, building up a bright, shiny colour, without absolutely no risk at all and no nasty chemicals. I tried Caca Marron Mama Hair Henna for review and it lightens my grey hair and gives hair soft texture. It’s a thick brick and so it’s easy to break with pestle and dry grind it in the bleander to powder. It failed in my first attempt, as I didn’t heat it till hot before applying. My second attempt was success as I use it like regulare henna by mixing it with curd and little water till it reaches to thick paste, not too thick and not too watery to soak it for overnight. The next day, I combed the hair and then divide the section of hair to apply it with dye brush. And wrap it up with saran wrap or cling and keep it there as long as you can manage up to 4 hours maximum. Two hours is generally sufficient for henna to saturate the hair, though many people keep it in longer. You can have take warm tea and relax lot by doing housework or blogging. It keeps your eyes and body cool and relax. Rinse and shampoo the hair. Here you can see the gray hair is stained light brown for black color. The results may vary.
