Peace love awarenessCancer SUCKS!  According to the American Cancer Society the estimated deaths in the United States for 2009 is 562,340 men and women.   The estimated cancer cases is 1,479,350.  Unfortunately, given these numbers you are likely to know someone who has suffered, fought or died from cancer.

My name is Kandi Madden and I own an online baby boutique www.thebabysbundle.com.    I asked fellow bloggers to help me in my efforts to raise money to fight cancer as well as bring awareness regarding cancer to you, their readers.  I am passionate about this cause and am walking in the Relay for Life this October.  This is a link to my home page where you can pledge your support , any amount, no matter how small helps:  http://www.main.acsevents.org/goto/Kandi.Madden .  You may think, what can I do that will make a difference in the fight for cancer.  I have listed some valuable resources for you to check out and share with those you know.  Together, each of us doing our part, we CAN make a difference!
1.  For starters educate ourselves about cancer.  The American Cancer society is a great place to start to get invaluable information http://www.cancer.org
2.  We can take better care of ourselves and the environment.  To find out more facts on this subject visit: http://www.cancer.org/docroot/PRO/content/PRO_1_1_2002_Fact_Sheets.asp?
3.  We can make sure we visit our doctors on a regular basis to get the appropriate screening tests.  American Cancer Society Guidelines for the Early Detection of Cancer:  http://www.cancer.org/docroot/ped/content/ped_2_3x_acs_cancer_detection_guidelines_36.asp
4.  We can get involved by donating, advocating, participating and volunteering.

I too have been affected by this disease.  My mother had colon cancer.  My father had bladder cancer. My sister had cervical cancer.  My husband has had melanoma.  My brother in-law’s cancer started in his throat and in a matter of 3 months consumed his body and took his life.  Currently a family friend found out he had cancer in his kidney.  His kidney has since been removed but the cancer continues.  Unable to find the source the prognosis is not good.  You can read more about his journey at his family blog: http://www.jlaabram.blogspot.com/
My hope is to raise cancer awareness and to raise money to fight against this disease.  I have created a new product line called ‘Clips for a Cure’ .  These  hair clips are made with various colors denoting a specific cancer or purple for cancer in general.  Clips are fashionable and are made with quality ribbons and clips.  They are great for girls of all ages.  100% of the sales will go toward fighting cancer.  They are reasonably priced at $5 each and are FREE to ship just use code: Relay (please note free shipping is only applicable when purchasing Clips for a Cure or Peace..Love..Awareness necklace).

My name is Al Malekovic (al@countrybobs.com) and I represent a very, very small company called Country Bob’s, Inc. We are making a great sauce called, “Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce” and we would like to get the word out about our product.
I know that blogs are a great way to get information to the general public. I conducted a google search for food blogs and your name came and after looking at your blog, I was wondering if you would be interested in trying my sauce and perhaps reviewing it for me.

If you send me your name and address via e-mail, I would gladly send you a recipe brochure along with two bottles of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce in hopes that you would write a review.

If you would like more information, I would be glad to respond to any questions you might have. In fact, if you are interested in interviewing me after you’ve sampled the product, I would gladly make myself available!

Thank you for your consideration. http://www.countrybobs.com I will also give you two two bottle give a ways and just email me the winners and we will mail out.
