Simply Southern contains nearly 300 of the best recipes submitted to the cookbook’s editorial committee at the Margolin Hebrew Academy, a small Jewish day school in Memphis, TN. Many chefs worked hard and contributed to this cookbook and raised funds for a small Jewish day school in Memphis, TN. They are traditional kosher recipes turned Southern and traditional Southern recipes turned kosher. 2,500 copies of this book already sold in the U.S., Canada, and Israel.
To begin this cook book, I would love to try corn chowder soup with easy cheese straw. The ingredients are relatively simple to follow with colorful pictures. It also has lots of basic Jewish recipes, like kugels, brisket, Deli Roll, and lentil soup. You can also find lot of vegetarian recipes if you are a vegetarian. Many of the recipes can serve more than 4 people when you are cooking for a holiday meal or parties. I think it’s rare to find this cook to cook elaborate meals for guests and parties.

    The call for Southern recipes elicited over fifteen hundred responses. Ladies Auxiliary lifetime members and first year parents, newlyweds and those wed for over sixty years, bubbies and meemaws, immas and mommas answered the call, eager to share recipes, stories and secrets.
