Synopsis

Samantha: An American girl Holiday brings history boldly to life as it takes girls on journey back to New York in 1904. Samantha’s prim and proper Grandmary is raising her to be a young lady, but her life starts changing the day as she meets Nellie O’Malley, the servant girl next door. Though they come from different worlds, they come from different worlds, they become fast friends, facing happiness and sorrow, adventure and danger together. Review

This movie beautifully brings delight to fans of American Dolls. You all know that I reviewed 18 inch doll from American Girl. It should be nice if beautiful Samantha comes in 18 inch doll. It is based on American Girl’s highly-successful book. The story is about 9-year-old Samantha who lives with her wealthy grandmother. She is orphan and gets frustrated and sad because she missed her parents. Her world will change when a young girl named Nellie comes to work at the house next door. She begins to understand the lives of her neighbor less fortunate. Samantha also struggles with jealousy when her beloved, fun-loving Uncle Gard (Jordan Bridges) introduces her to his fiancée. But she learns to love her new Aunt Cornelia (Rebecca Mader), a kind and intelligent woman who genuinely cares about Samantha. The story has a happy ending.

The movie portrays her role model for young girls with interesting history lessons and informative to watch. I also encourage boys to watch it to learn moral lessons and positive messages.

The DVD will include special features, and one in particular is of special interest to doll collectors. This is the “American Girl Place Tour:” A sneak peek at everything that American Girl Place has to offer, from the Doll Hair Salon to the bright, contemporary Cafe — “Imagine” performance: A musical number from “The American Girls Revue,” a Broadway-style show featuring the ensemble cast.
