Let me check what’s inside the bottles that I should handle them carefully. Patiently cutting with the scissors on top and surprised to see 3 jars of Dove’s Gourmet pasta.
I found more regular tomato sauces in my regular stores. I could love to find something different, extracted from fresh veggies and trying to see which one of my recipe comes best. Before trying the sauce from one of these bottles, I have to taste it with spoon so that I know what extra ingredients to add to make the wonderful dish.
In the back of its bottle, I read, “The first of its kind, our all natural butternut squash pasta sauce is made with squash ripened in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Paired with fresh garlic, onions, and roasted red pepper, the natural sweetness and delicate flavor of the butternut squash is enhanced to provide a delicious change of pace. Tortellini, Ravioli, & Lasagna never knew they could taste so fabulous. A winner of the 2009 Sofi Awards, this fabulous new sauce will put an entirely new spin on your favorite pasta dishes.”
I can recognize the sauces are of perfect consistency when opened out of the bottle. More sauces in the bottle and I think it won’t sit longer in the fridge. If you are very busy, then you can simply heat the sauce in medium flame and pour it on top of hot pasta. You don’t need top fillings of Parmesan cheese. You can slim down your weight as it has only 4 grams of fat in 1/2 cup. EWW!
I love to cut down the sweet even if it is not too sweet. And also enhance more flavor by heating olive oil infused with spring onion, few pods of garlic, red chili flakes ( you can omit it), one red pepper to get roasted or sliced button mushroom to get cooked and few frozen peas. Pour 1/2 cup to one cup jar to cook it in medium flame. Check salt to taste and serve it on hot pasta. YUM! Those who don’t love veggies will enjoy this dish!
