The wonderful people at Energizer’ll be hard at work over the next few weeks watching videos of kids explaining what happens when their toys run out of battery power, all to help raise money for their favorite charity. The top ten picks will each get a portion of the ten big ones up for grabs. They’ll be posted here on June 14th, and then they’re counting on you to come back and vote on your favorites to help decide what portion of the $10,000 in donations will go to each.
Energizer have launched a charity program that you can watch to vote the top ten picks on June 14th. Please let me know if any one of you are in the top ten list and I will encourage others to vote for your video. It would be more fun to watch the energizer kids who take charge to participate this charity program in the video.

I learned not to carry loose batteries in my purse with metal objects,
they can short circuit the battery leading to high heat or leakage

I visited Kids Take Charge and I learned that when your rechargeable batteries are worn out, you can recycle them by taking them to a local battery recycle place! I also learned that they become warm when you are charging them because of the transfer of energy
