Review

I am fortunate to review Vtech DS6321-3 cordless phone with the latest technology. It expanded with three handset cordless phone system with cellular connection through BLUETOOTH technology. We absolutely love it as it has sleek design and comfortable to use it at home with the answering machine. VTech DS6321-3 comes with several features that exist on cellphones. It supports various useful cellular features, such as allowing you to download cellphone’s phone book directory through Bluetooth.  The cordless phone sells for $99.99 and can download your mobile phone contact list via Bluetooth. The phone book is large to hold up to 6,000 entries. It is also capable of pairing with up to four cellphones via Bluetooth.

The VTech DS6321-3 cordless phone supports various useful cellular features, such as allowing you to download your cellphone’s phone book directory via Buetooth. The phone book of the DS6321-3 .

Plantronics Discovery 975 Review

The new Plantronics Discovery 975 is a stylish Bluetooth headset and comfortable to use it. The call quality is incredibly good and it comes with a handy charging case that extends its battery life threefold.

First Look:
Discovery 975 looks a lot like a giant hair pin with a square-diamond top and skinny boom mic. It has faux leather covering on the front. Measuring 2.7 inches long by 0.8 inch wide by 0.5 inch thick, the Discovery 975 appears almost like a piece of jewelry.

At the base of the boom mic, in the middle of the square diamond, is the multifunction call button. On top of it is a very thin LED indicator line that glows white when it is powered up. Since the button is part of the overall boom mic, it requires a bit of pressure to push. On the top left of the headset is a single volume key. The charger jack is on the top right.

Flip the headset around and you’ll find an earpiece. It has a nice ear tip gel cover, with a square loop that lets the earpiece sit snugly within the folds of the ear without the use of an ear hook. The Discovery 975 comes with a couple of other ear tip gel sizes for different-size ears. It was incredibly easy to put on and take off, which makes the Discovery 975 great for intermittent use. Just be sure to maneuver it so that the boom mic points toward the mouth for the best performance.

Functional Features:

The Discovery 975 has the normal headset features, like answering, ending, and rejecting calls, plus it has voice-dial support, last number redial, call mute, and the capability to transfer calls from the headset to the phone and vice versa. It also has multipoint, which lets you connect up to two different headsets simultaneously. The Discovery 975 also features voice prompts that let you know when you’ve enabled or disabled call mute, the battery status, plus the Bluetooth connection status. The latter is especially handy when you wander outside your handset’s Bluetooth range; the headset will automatically let you know that you’ve lost the connection.

We also quite like the portable leather charging case that comes with the Discovery 975. It looks a lot like a lipstick case, just as the one for the Discovery 925 did, but this one has an LCD screen that lets you know the battery life of the case and the headset. It also has a Bluetooth icon to show if the headset is connected. We like that it snaps into place securely, and that there’s a lever you can press to take it out again. If you like, there’s also a clip strap for the case, in case you want to attach it to your purse.

Sound Quality:
There was a bit of static noise at times, even in the quietest scenario. Still, callers’ voices came through loud and clear. My husband was surprised that our callers could still hear us when he was talking outside of his office and very windy conditions

I had wonderful opportunity to review about the Parrot MINIKIT Chic. Parrot’s MiniKit Chic is a portable Bluetooth hands free kit that easily attaches to the sun visor and fits in a purse or bag for complete portability.  It automatically connects to your Bluetooth phone and synchronizes to your phonebook.   With talk-to-dial name recognition, the MiniKit Chic recognizes and dials the number of the contact you speak, without any prior training. I am suprised as it works great and enjoy lot with it instead of using head phones. Its compact design is so attractive with sleek look and floral pattern on the front for those who wanted to receive calls from their iPhones without holding it.

The Parrot MINIKIT Chic has three buttons and a knob. You can do several options with it like changing the volume, make a call, record a voice tag for a contact, scroll through your address book. You can go through your contact numbers list from A to Z as the most phones do but Chic allows you to announce the name of the caller from your phone book. You can also use the knob to adjust the volume without taking your eyes off the road. They are very clear and loud enough to understand.  It comes with beautiful box that contains Parrot MINIKIT Chic Speakerphone, USB Cable, 12V charging cable and Quick start guide. It has the same size as iPod that can easily clip onto your car’s sun visor. You can store up to 1000 contacts per phone. You don’t have to pronounce hard names and just make it a simple to say, “Call Shirley Home” or use it to navigate your contact’s name by letter and select it.

Every parent is worried to buy cell phones for their kids thinking that their cell phones are not safe for their use. Now we are happy that Kajeet provides family cell phone service for kids.  Kajeet is pay-as-you-go service that parents can have full control on it and the kids are so happy to protect themselves if they lost their way in the crowd places. Kids can also learn to be more responsible to take charge of monthly phone budget and so they can learn how much they can spend on phone service and then make choices about how they spend the money. Kajeet has lot of options to choose. We can choose based on our budget. It’s also very convenient for kids to block calls from kids who are bullying them or spending too much of their monthly budget by sending way too many text messages

You can both check on account activity to see every individual expense and use of the phone, including each daily 35-cent charge for the service. In addition, calls cost 10 cents a minute, text messages are 5 cents in and out, and sending photos costs 25 cents apiece. It all adds up quickly, but there are no other fees to activate, terminate, or make long-distance calls. And there are no extra charges when parents (or anyone else) call them from another phone and/or carrier. You can find answers to all your questions easily on the well-designed kajeet web site.

Kajeet’s slogan says it all: “We believe kids are smart.” They have entered the prepaid market as a service to “tweens” — kids between the ages of 8 and 14.
Based in Bethesda, Maryland, kajeet encourages parents and children to work together for responsible cell phone usage. “Use it for good,” they say.

Pros: Kajeet offers competitive rates for a prepaid service. It also has a custom configuration service that allows parents to disable call and text services during certain times of day (presumably study periods and after bedtime). Everything can be tracked by parents, including call logs, account balance, and which features are being used. Calls to 900 numbers are blocked.

Cons: The 32 cents per day service fee adds up to over $10 per month on top of the call rates.

• You can set spending limits for your children with a monthly allowance, and you can set time limits as well. You can also control your child’s address book by blocking certain numbers.
