Chipmunk singing sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore are back for an encore in this hilarious “squeakquel” packed with more action and more nutty fun for the whole family! When a concert mishap lands Dave in the hospital, the Chipmunks take a break from superstardom and enroll in school to fit in with kids their age. But they soon face some stiff competition when they meet the Chipettes – a beautiful, talented trio of chipmunks discovered by Ian, the boys’ evil ex-manager!
Review
Very cute, entertaining movie with Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel is great to watch for both adults and kids. Alvin, Simon and Theodore start school with a mixture of tremendous, fear, energetic and enthusiasm. They attract three fantastically cute and energetic female chipmunks,The Chipettes namely Brittany (Christina Applegate), Jeannette (Anna Farris) and Eleanor (Amy Poehler) who arrive from Australia and are also trying to break a music business in Hollywood. Kid enjoy the great music and dance for Alvin (voiced by Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler), and Theodore (Jesse McCartney) when Dave, the Chipmunks’ friend-father-figure was accidentally hit by the giant Alvin billboard during a concert. With every bone fractured in Dave’s anatomy, he is forced to stay in the hospital for an indefinite period – leaving the Chipmunks at a loss during his absence. But Dave, being responsible and dependable had immediately made arrangements for Alvin, Simon and Theodore to go to school and eventually fell under the care of his cousin, Toby.

My kids loved this movie and we’d love to own it! My son was just talking about how awful it would be to have so many bones broken like Dave and then his Aunt who fell down the stairs in her wheelchair. My other son accidentally let the wii remote go flying and asked what would happen if it shattered the tv like in the chipmunk movie. At least I know they were paying attention in the theater!
